Server rules

Playing on Torment means following these rules.

Your account

  1. You must be 13 or older to create an account and play.
  2. Your account is yours alone. Don’t share it, sell it or give it away. You’re responsible for everything done on it.
  3. Staff will never ask for your password, in game, on Discord or anywhere else.
  4. More than one account is fine. Each one still follows these rules, and a ban can cover all of them.

Conduct

  1. Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, threats or targeting other players.
  2. No spam or advertising, including for other servers.
  3. Names must be appropriate. Character names can’t be offensive or pretend to be staff. Staff can rename a character that breaks this.

Fair play

  1. No cheats, bots or hacks. That includes any program or addon that plays for you or reads or changes the game’s memory.
  2. Report exploits, don’t use them. If you find a bug that gives an unfair advantage, send it through Report a bug in the launcher. Knowingly using one is treated like cheating.
  3. No multiboxing. Play one character at a time. Running several characters at once, from one computer or several, isn’t allowed.

Real money

  1. No real-money trading. Don’t buy or sell gold, items, characters, accounts or carries for money or anything outside the game.

Hardcore realms

  1. Death is final. A hardcore hero who dies stays dead. Staff don’t restore fallen heroes, including after a disconnect or lag.
  2. Server faults. If you believe a server crash or a Torment bug killed your hero, open a ticket on the Torment Discord. Staff look at each case individually.

Enforcement

  1. Penalties fit the offence, from a warning to a permanent ban. Staff decide based on these rules.
  2. Appeals go through a ticket on the Torment Discord.
  3. These rules can change. Changes are announced in the news, and the date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
